FIAMM is delivering to its customers a range of AVAS pedestrian warning systems depending on acoustic performance and communication type request. Fiamm is developing further sound generators with different sizes and sound treatment possibilities.
HOW IT WORKS
The Avas reproduces “wav” file stored within the flash memory of the microcontroller. The playback is modulated according to the information coming from the CAN bus regarding vehicle speed and gear shift position.
The way the sound is modulated according to speed can be easily tuned and customized using an application that communicates with the device using a standard CAN bus protocol (UDS).
The unit is also able to detect the reversing status looking at the info regarding the gear shift position coming from the CAN bus enabling innovative sounds for external audio requirements
